As we approach the end of August and the beginning of the new season, we just wanted to reflect on what has been an amazing summer for the club!

Here’s a few of our highlights:

💙 In May we started running our free weekly summer sessions, with the intention to get as many people playing the sport as possible. It’s been amazing to welcome so many beginners, old friends of the club and existing players every week!

🤍 In June we joined forces with Canterbury Lacrosse Club at Bluesfest, an annual weekend-long lacrosse tournament. Despite having very few substitutes, and facing some pretty intense summer temperatures, the team battled through the Plate competition to win the final! Check out our trophy in the clubhouse if you haven’t already!

💙 In July we met in the park for a team picnic and game of rounders. As expected, it got competitive pretty quickly!!

🤍 And in August we’ve continued to see great turnouts at practice, and enjoyed playing while the weather is (somewhat) summery!

We just wanted to thank every single one of you for making the summer season so fun for everyone! And we can’t wait to see what the 2023/24 season will bring 💪🏼
